This is a HAND DRAWN 1 of 1 3.5x2.5" trading card of NHL and Detroit Red Wings Legend, Steve Yzerman. This is the 26th card in my Classic Showpieces: Series 3 Collection and took 16 hours to draw using graphite pencil. I have hand signed the back of the card. No copies or reproductions will be produced.
This artwork is special to me, as I actually drew a larger version of it (11x14") during 2020. The piece quickly became one of my most popular pieces of all time, with many people expressing interest in the original. I recognized this as a great opportunity to see the evolution of my technique over the past six years. When I reflect on this current work alongside my 2020 drawing, I feel proud of my artistic growth, yet I find myself reflecting fondly on that earlier period. I sincerely hope you appreciate this piece as much as I do.

Your card will be shipped in a magnetic one-touch card holder.

Please note that there may be imperfections on the card stock such as minor scuffs or nicks and/or may be off-center.

More about the Classic Showpieces Collection:

Prior to drawing the first Classic Showpieces set in 2022, I had done work for a few large trading card companies where I would draw directly on their 2.5x3.5" canvases. I fell in love with the process and the challenge of drawing on such a small scale. I left those projects hungry to do more, my way.
Classic Showpiece Series cards are meant to be the centerpiece of collections and proudly displayed. Subjects are rarely, if ever, drawn more than once.
